The Joy of Music - Sights and Sounds on the St. Lawrence Seaway DVD - Diane Bish
This 30-minute DVD, an episode of Diane Bish's famed "The Joy of Music" television series, presents a cruise on the St. Lawrence Seaway beginning in Boston, Massachusetts with stops in Bar Harbor, Maine; Sydney and Halifax, Nova Scotia; and Québec City. The music consists of Franz Schubert: "Marche Militaire" at the Methuen Memorial Music Hall, Methuen, Massachusetts; G. F. Handel: "March" and "Air" (from "Water Music") at the Cathedral Church of All Saints, Halifax, Nova Scotia; G. F. Handel: "Allegro" (from "Water Music") and William Kroll: "Banjo and Fiddle" (with violinist Joy Brown Wiener) at the United Baptist Church in Sydney, Nova Scotia; and G. F. Handel: "Hallelujah" Chorus at St. Roch-de-Québec in Québec City.
The DVD is available at the Music Hall during events sponsored by the Board of Trustees at a price of $20.00. It is also available by mail order at $23.00 each, including shipping by U. S. Postal Service First-Class Mail.
